LCMV infections result in acute and transient depletion of the BM erythroid cellular compartment. 3D confocal microscopy of thick femoral slices from uninfected control mice (ctrl) and mice 7 dpi with LCMV-cl13. Immunostaining against erythroid progenitors (Ter119, white) and BM sinusoidal vessels (CD105, blue). Tissue thickness was 65 µm in whole diaphysis images and 44 µm for zoomed-in images, respectively.
