Confocal time-lapse imaging of a COS7 cell coexpressing VPS13D^Halo, EGFP-Miro1, and BFP–VAP-B upon hypotonic shock. Mitochondria and ER vesiculate but remain tethered by hot spots of VPS13D. Cells were imaged right after water addition at a rate of 0.5 frames/s for a total of 2 min. Some frames were lost due to focal plane changes. Scale bar, 3 µm.
