The ciliary remnant in mitotic Nek2 KO cells is positive for Smo. Live-cell imaging related to Fig. 10 E. Nek2 KO cells expressing Tet3G-Smo-EGFP (green) were treated with DOX for 24 h to induce Smo expression, serum starved for 24 h, and subsequently incubated in medium containing serum in the presence or absence of 0.4 µM SAG. After 24 h, cells were analyzed by time-lapse epifluorescence microscopy and inspected for 24 h with a time interval of 10 min. Speed = 3 frames per second. 20 nM sirTubulin (red) and 5 µM verapamil were added 3 h before imaging.
