Exogenous expression of Miro1-var4 enhances long-distance movement of peroxisomes. WT mCherry–Miro1-var4 was expressed in HeLa/EGFP-SKL cells for 24 h, followed by 5-min time-lapse imaging of EGFP-SKL (peroxisomes, green). Time-lapse sequences of 300 frames were acquired at 1-s intervals under a laser-scanning confocal microscope (LSM510). Playback rate, 10 frames/s.
