Example scission events in a Cos-7 cell at 28°C. Scission events manifested as the sudden appearance of TfR-phl (green) at CCSs (red spots and blobs). Note that scission events occur at both small spots of Clc-mCherry and also at larger blobs. Also note that TfR-phl spots often separate from the host CCS after scission, without significant changes in Clc-mRFP fluorescence. Playback is 40× real time, and total frame size is 10 × 10 µm.
