SxIP-like motifs of SLAIN2 contribute to its plus end–tracking behavior. HeLa cells transiently expressing GFP–SLAIN2-C3 or its mutants, in which the Leu/Ile-Pro dipeptides within the four or five SxIP-like sites mutated to asparagines were imaged using TIRF microscopy on a research microscope (Eclipse Ti-E) equipped with TIRF-E motorized TIRF illuminator (PICT-IbiSA) with a 491-nm laser and a 0.5-s exposure time without delay between frames for 50 s.
