The red segment is a heteropolymer of NFM-mCherry and NFL, whereas the green segments are heteropolymers of NFM-GFP and NFL. The images were acquired at 2–3-min intervals over a 12-min period. Note that the red and green segments remain contiguous as the filament moves, indicating that they are part of the same filament
