SCs (mutant). Freshly plated SCs obtained from ILK mutant mice were photographed every 5 min over a period of 12 h. Resulting photographic sequences were assembled into videos and displayed at a rate of seven frames per second. Mutant cells display a very dynamic behavior with intense frequency of process extension and retraction. Quantification of 10 cells per video revealed a significantly increased rate of process collapse into the soma as compared with controls (Video 1).
