Video of the simulation from which the radial density plots of Fig. 2 E were taken (shown in Video 2 E). The main text and the legend for Fig. 1 define the parts of each frame in this video. In this simulation of an 80-µm-diameter cell, the MKLP1 motor speed is 0.6 µm/s, and they bind MTs with a half-life of 20 s; therefore, the mean MKLP1 run length along an MT is 12 µm. A very strong MKLP1s accumulation in an equatorial ring occurs. In this simulation, the MKLP1 motors outrun MT polymerization (which elongates MTs at a speed of 0.45 12 µm/s).
