Video 6.

An oocyte undergoing spindle migration followed by first polar body extrusion. The video shows that cytoplasmic streaming continued to maintain the oocyte set of the chromosomes at the cortex after polar body extrusion. As such, the streaming in the MII oocyte is a continuation of the streaming that started during spindle migration in MI. Blue shows Hoechst staining of chromosomes. Frames are 5.5 min apart, and video length is 544 min. Bar, 20 µm.
